Assisted a team of Engineers and Technicians, to undertake a hot gas path inspection and replacement of new parts on the GT1 (1x110 MW GE Frame 9E) combustion turbines. • Lead the individual mechanical groups to report maintenance activities during morning meetings. • Completely replaced the 1st stage, 2nd stage and 3rd stage nozzles as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd stages blades with refurbished ones while the used ones will be sent for refurbishment. • Took part in an NDT testing (gamma ray inspection) which was done on the path of the hot gases structures to check for cracks and also any deformity (crakes) in the structure of the metals surface involved before reassembly of all the well-labelled parts that were removed.
